Monday Morning Mind Dump [Wednesday Edition]

It's that time of the week - Monday Morning Mind Dump time. Boom, let's get at it. Ha! Just kidding, it's Wednesday! So, technically it's the Wednesday Morning Mind Dump :)

  • Last week was a mix of things.
  • Most of it consisted of Cease & Desist letters and multiple intellectual property reports.
  • Not fun, at all, but I am glad there are options when it comes to the misuse of designs.
  • My mind thinks very logically & ethically.
  • So when this came up I knew I would have to fight my brain a lot on what to do.
  • Learning how to extend grace and not remain bitter after a "bad" interaction has now been on my mind.
  • I've realized no matter how you handle it, you will always be the "bad" guy in their eyes. Especially, if your standing up for policy or terms.
  • I've also realized I can sleep better when I know I've handled myself the best way that I could and thought about how to handle it, not just giving it quick response out of raw emotion & hurt.
  • I've also realized that not everyone will react the same way and that's okay.
  • It also reminds me how many times God said to forgive someone.
  • He never gave a number - you are just to forgive.
  • Last week was also a big week.
  • Committing to the Government for 5 years is a big deal.
  • I've thought about going back to college for another degree.
  • Why? Well, because I obviously am insane and love college. ha
  • I also helped a friend while she was sick.
  • As I cleaned up her puke I realized something.
  • That something was that the action of "always helping" is what can make people hate you.
  • As I did it, I had a moment where I felt like my brain was like "this is why people hate you"
  • After thinking about it, I would rather be hated for that than treating someone badly or not showing up.
  • Good thought, right? I'll say yes for now.
  • We started a RevCommunity almost a month ago.
  • I feel God working there.
  • The authenticity that we have is not what I've seen at other "community groups"
  • I also love cleaning the dishes after our RevCommunity.
  • I think it's become therapeutic after such real talk.
  • If you don't know, my coping method is cleaning.
  • If you live with me and come home to a really, really clean house run, run far my friend.
  • I've been writing a piece for a week now and I feel like it's been labored over.
  • After this piece I've also realized I might have a passion for mentoring teenage girls.
  • It's made me excited for when the girls hit that age.
  • Speaking of the girls, Emma has really been doing well with speech lately.
  • I am excited for summer break and for her to be home with me.
  • Remind me of this when I am trying to pawn my kids off on you for a day.
  • Ellie has been extra sweet lately - also extra sassy.
  • She is our comedian and jokester.
  • Besides the minor junk I've had to deal with I feel like this is such a good season for us.
  • Well, that's all folks - time to get back to it!
  • I just imagined Donald Duck saying that, you're welcome for that laugh
